Drop Shoulder Construction
A true oversized tee has a drop shoulder — the shoulder seam falls below the natural shoulder point, creating the characteristic boxy silhouette. This is non-negotiable for the streetwear look. A tee that is just cut wide but has a normal shoulder seam placement is not an oversized streetwear tee.
Hem and Neck Finish
Look for ribbed or reinforced neck openings and hemmed (not raw) edges. Cheap oversized tees use minimal reinforcement to cut costs — the neck stretches out after a few washes and the hem curls. Quality construction means the garment keeps its shape.
Dyeing and Print Quality
